A brief history of anti-black violence in China

This article briefly introduces the forced detention of Africans living in Guangzhou in 2020 and explains where this tension between locals and African students stem from. The article talks about the anti-African violence instigated by local Chinese students in Shanghai 1979, and the police’s failure to protect African students. It discusses how the Nanjing Anti-African Protests influenced Sino-African relations.
