Egypt keen to cooperate with China in environmental, climate technologies
Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad expressed interest in collaborating with China on environmental and climate technologies at the first Environmental and Climate Investment Forum in Egypt's new administrative capital. Fouad highlighted the applicability of China's environmental and climate technologies to Egypt, citing successful acquisition of energy-saving equipment for street lighting and air-conditioning systems. She emphasized potential cooperation in areas such as biogas technology for electricity generation from agricultural waste and China's expertise in recycling industrial water, addressing Egypt's water shortage and resource-intensive manufacturing industries.
