Egypt’s space agency chief hails “strategic” cooperation with China as “fruitful”

Overview:

China's assistance in establishing Egypt's satellite assembly center and building a remote sensing satellite has positioned Egypt as a pioneer in Africa's space industry, according to Sherif Sedky, CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA). Through strategic and fruitful cooperation with China, Egypt has achieved significant milestones, including the establishment of the Satellite Assembly, Integration, and Test Center (AITC), the largest of its kind in the Middle East and Africa. Egypt recently received two prototype satellites for the MisrSat II satellite project, making it the first African country with the capability to assemble, integrate, and test satellites, with the launch of MisrSat II scheduled for December.
