Peacekeepers dispatched by Beijing help in South Sudan
Chinese peacekeepers in South Sudan have rehabilitated a 120-kilometer road linking Tonj and Romich towns, improving access to essential services for local residents. The project, aimed at boosting trade and facilitating access to education and healthcare, addresses longstanding challenges caused by poor road conditions in Warrap state. The road rehabilitation is crucial for the United Nations Mission in South Sudan to fulfill its mandate, ensuring timely response to security and humanitarian needs, while also promoting trust and reconciliation among communities in the region.
