Overview:

First issued by the Ministry of labour, the Ministry of public security, the Ministry of foreign affairs, the Ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation in 1996, and amended by the order of the Ministry of human resources and social security of the People's Republic of China in 2017. Chapter 2, Article 7 outlines that foreigners must meet several conditions for employment in China, which include the minimum age of 18 years old, possessing the professional skills and corresponding work experience necessary for their work; no criminal record, having a confirmed employer, holding a valid passport. Article 8 states that, foreigners who wish to work in China must enter the country on a Z visa, and that foreigners without residence permits (i.e. those with F, L, C and G visas), foreigners studying and interning in China..shall not be employed in China. Exemption from the above-mentioned requirements can be found in Article 10.
