This article unpacks concepts of stuckness and social navigation to understand how African migrants become stuck-in-place and experience stuckness in China and uses the stories of four Nigerians in Guangzhou City. The author identifies two types of stuckness experienced by Africans in Guangzhou- spatial and identity- and the ways in which they come to terms and cope in numerous ways.
